I have always had a strong interest in working with people. Growing up, I worked as a babysitter as well as a caregiver for a developmentally delayed young girl. I graduated from college with a bachelor's degree in social work and have been employed in related positions. As a parent of two remarkable adult children, I was fortunate to be an "at home" mom for 12 years. During their elementary and middle school years, I volunteered as a math and English tutor and classroom assistant. After returning to work outside of the home, I continued to volunteer in the ASPIRE program for 4 years, assisting HS students in their post-secondary transition. I am currently working full time in social services, so my availability is limited to evenings, nights and weekends. I feel passionate about quality whether the service involves children, adults or pets.
