Hello! My names Bree and I'm a dual major with a minor at Bloomsburg University. My majors are Early Childhood Education Pre-K/4th and Special Education Pre-K/ 8th. I'm also working towards a minor in American Sign Language. I will be entering my junior year at BU in August, and I'm in Trio SS, WISE (Women Inspiring Strength and Empowerment), and SCEC (Student Council for Exceptional Children). I also actively volunteer in the special needs community and am often at functions hosted for children with exceptionalities and their families. I have all of my clearances, TB testing, and am CPR trained. My CPR cert. expired last summer and I didn't renew it because I didn't have a job that required it at the time, but I will gladly renew it if asked. I have experience with infants, children, and teens with special needs. Specifically, ADD, ADHD, Autism, Asperger's, Cerebral Palsy, Communication Read more Delays, Deafness, Developmental Delays, Down Syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Intellectual Disabilities, and Physical Disabilities. In the future I hope to teach in either a Life Skills K-4 classroom or an Autistic Support K-4 classroom. As of now, I am looking to become a nanny for a child/children with special needs. I'm very passionate about helping children with expceptionalities and their families. When I care for a child, of any ability, I make sure that everything we do is fun and educational. I always keep in mind the child's abilities and the parents wishes. Also, I can take care of chores around the house that need to be done, such as cleaning, laundry, or caring for a pet, while I'm there. I've also tutored various students with special needs, and if there is any school work the parents would like me to go over with the child I would be more than happy too. I would also be more than happy to answer any questions about myself parents would have, or provide references.
