I am a retired licensed mental health counselor, holding a masters degree in psychology and counseling (including child developmental psychology) for the past thirteen years. I have primarily counseled parents and children through out my career, providing play therapy (hourly sessions) for children with learning, behavioral, emotional and physical disabilities. I have also provided individual and group therapy to children in private and public education. Caring for children has been my life-long passion, beginning with motherhood (having four active sons), then advancing through teaching preschool and elementary Sunday school for nineteen years. I have been directly involved in planning and implementing fun activities for children's ministry for the past thirty years, so there is no doubt that children are my heartbeat. I am a fit senior, an experienced grandmother (having five grandsons between the ages of 3-12 years of age).
