My name is Sarah, and I am recently returning back to the States after having served 3 months as a Community Health Peace Corps Trainee in Tanzania Africa. My experience was great, but I learned this is not the program for me at this time in my life, as I feel my skills and desires have moved me past this experience rather than adding to my skill set. The reason I want to be a nanny is because I love kids, I want to help a local family in need of an extra hand, and am hoping to earn some extra money as I nanny my nephew from 7:30-3:00pm each day. I have had many opportunities to work with youth through various jobs and volunteer opportunities, as well as taking care of my niece (8 years old) and nephew (18 months). I was a sports camp counselor on a Native Read more American Reservation in Montana for ages 5-18, was a basketball counselor in Lousinaa for ages 5-18, was a volunteer tutor for ages 3-6 in reading and writing, and have been on various volunteer trips around the world. I love traveling, the outdoors, being active through various sports, as well as writing poetry, listening to music and going to concerts, and spending time with family. My life motto is 'kindness matters' and I try to live that out everyday. Lastly I am CPR certified and have a Bachlors degree in Health & Science -Sports Managment from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.
