My name is Dana Mark and I am a recent graduate from Longwood University. I earned a graduate degree in Education with a concentration in Algebra 1 and Middle school mathematics and a bachelors degree in Elementary Education K-6. Along with these two degrees I hold a Virginia Professional teaching license; two requirements of this licensure is a clear background check and a certification in First-Aid/CPR/AED. Outside of my in-class experiences at Longwood, I worked at a summer camp for three years between 2011-2013. The first two years at this summer camp I was a leader. My duties included creating art, gym and outdoor activities for a group of 18+ children daily ranging from Kindergarten to 7th grade. For the third year of my Rec-Pac experience I was promoted to a Director position. At this time I was in charge of managing camp leaders, creating special events for the entire Read more camp, preparing reports and newsletters to parents, as well as daily interactions with parents. Previous to my three-years at Rec-Pac I was a nanny for two children ages 4 and 6. Throughout this time I provided activities for children to do at home, took them to the pool, and made breakfast and lunch.
