My child care experience includes a variety of a ways that I supervised children. I’ve worked at a few daycare centers before getting my bachelors degree in psychology in 1993. I then became a Child and adolescent counselor. I worked with children in schools and their homes. I also worked with foster children and transported them to doctors and even out of town as far as 100 miles away for overnight medical appointments. I then took some time off to have and stay at home with my 3 children until they had all completed middle school. At that time, I decided to get my masters in mental health counseling and afterwords worked as a crisis counselor with children. I decided to retire from counseling about twelve years ago. Since then I decided I would like to spend some time substitute teaching, as I could determine my own hours. While substitute Read more teaching I taught in rooms from four-year-old head start to the 12th grade. However, I am no longer substitute teaching due to my husband’s job relocation to Foley, AL. I am very new on the babysitter site and am excited to get started as I still enjoy working with children. I am now 53 years old and my children are 28, 26 and 20. There’s just something innocent, fun, genuine, and simple about working with children. I believe they keep me young at heart because I love to get on their level and play and act silly with them. I don’t think there’s anything better than a good heartylaugh from a chubby baby 😊 In my availability section I listed 4 PM to midnight. There was no area to allow for stating I was flexible so I decided to add it here because I am flexible and can work other hours then 4 PM to midnight. Since my children are all grown and out of the house and I am not working, my schedule is quite open.
