Good afternoon, My name is Marta Martinez and I am a student in the United States. I will be graduating from college in May and am looking to work as a nanny this summer. I love working with kids and have been doing so since high school. I am originally from Spain, and at the age of fifteen I received a scholarship to attend the United World College of the Adriatic, an IB institution whose mission is to bring students together from across the world to create a sustainable future through education. After I graduated from high school I took a gap year and decided to apply for a position as an AuPair in Trieste, Italy. The three months that I spent taking care of two young children inspired me to pursue my passion for teaching. In the summer of 2015 I worked as a teacher at a summer school Read more in Spain, leading a class of over 12 students with ages raging from 3 to 12. I spent my junior year of college abroad and worked as a nanny of a five year old in Paris. I enjoyed the experience of teaching a foreign language to a wonderful young kid while giving him the care that his mom needed me to. I performed a wide variety of duties from picking him up from school to cooking him dinner and doing English homework with him. Lastly, this past summer I returned to Paris to intern at an NGO. While doing so, I also worked as an English and Spanish teacher at a summer school, supervising three groups of kids (ages 5, 8, and 11). This passion for teaching and working with children have led me to pursue a career as a residential advisor. Next fall, I will be working in a boarding school in White Plains (NY) and will serve as a house parent of 15 girls. I am looking forward to hearing more about your care needs and your family.
