My Educational background is in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in mid-child life development. Some courses I’ve taken include Parent Education, Child development, Family Patterns of Interaction and more. My approach to childcare is that I believe every child is unique because of their personality, temperament, environment and family; and all of these influence how they understand and relate to others. I believe every child is a gift and has a God-designed need to feel loved, understood, and valued. As a caregiver, I facilitate purposeful play, encouraging creativity and imagination. I also believe children need structured schedules, routines and age-appropriate boundaries to develop a healthy sense of autonomy and self-efficacy. My approach to discipline is loving-communication and consistency, often using positive affirmations and gentle redirecting.
