I have three years of paid childcare experience with toddlers (aged 1-3), preschool aged children (aged 3-5), and elementary/middle school kids (6-13). I am a motivated, dedicated, creative, and fun individual that babysits with love and care. I am first-aid/CPR/AED certified, and have been taking classes with the Red Cross to enhance my babysitting abilities in order to be better prepared to care for your little VIP's. My main goal in childcare is to provide a safe, loving environment for the child while their parents or guardians are away. I try to maintain a rapport with the child in order to allow them to feel comfortable, heard, and cared for throughout the time that they are in my care. As for activities, they can range from play-acting out favorite stories of their own choice, movies, board games, to outside play. In addition, I am involved with my school's theater program, have taken two years worth of culinary classes, and live to read, write, and create. I am big on arts and crafts! A bit of background: I grew up in a large military family of seven with four younger nieces and nephews. Although I was the youngest in my family, I spent years babysitting and entertaining my younger nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kids naturally seem to gravitate towards me. I became a babysitter because I love to be the person that I needed as a child to others, to provide them with even more love than they already have, to protect, nurture and care for them while their parents are away. It's a fulfilling job, and even though my lack of references may put me at a disadvantage, I firmly believe that my heart and compassion for child care set me apart from other candidates.
