Hi! My name is Cora I’m a 18 yr old college freshman attending Indiana State University, with a major in nursing. My long term goal is to be a nurse practitioner in a pediatric hospital. I’ve worked as a babysitter/ after school care for 6 years now. I started helping out with some family friends for date nights and things like that, and eventually I moved up to regularly taking care of both their kids and a few of their friends after school. I was a camp counselor a few summers ago, as well as I taught swim lessons for 2 years followed by a year of coaching swim team. I also worked as a waitress so I do have my food handlers certification. I’ve been though lifeguarding courses I’m both CPR, ADE, and first aid certified. In addition I completed basic combat training this past summer for the Indiana Read more Army National Guard. With that I received my combat life saver certificate. The goal is to never have to use any of these, but I’m well prepared if a situation would arise. I love arts and crafts. I’ve got a million nieces and nephews throughout my time with them I’ve learned to adapt and switch activities based on the needs and abilities children in all ages. I am a good student I graduated high school with a 4.8/5.0 GPA I love math and science and have no problem helping with homework, studying for tests, anything along those lines. I have a reliable vehicle, I’ve had my license for 2 almost 3 years now with a completely clean record, no accidents, tickets anything like that. I truly enjoy working with kids, getting to be apart of their growth and development is one of the most rewarding things on the planet.
