I have always loved children, and because I am the seventh child in a family of 10, my life was literally filled with babies and toddlers. My baby brother and nieces and nephews provided me plenty of experience, and even at the age of 6, you would find me feeding and rocking babies and changing diapers, and loving every minute of it.

My love for children has followed me without waning throughout life. If anything, it has intensified. As a teenager, I babysat as much as I could, and at 17, I was full-time care-giver for a 6-month-old baby boy for an entire summer while his mother was in Europe. I worked at a daycare in college. I have raised three sons, and they have blessed me with four beautiful grandchildren. When my first grandchild entered my life in late 2001, my passion for babies was rekindled, and I was drawn to becoming a nanny, which I did in 2004; and, in 2005, I also became a Postpartum Doula. In the ensuing years, I have had the privilege of working as a nanny with many families in several capacities, from part-time temporary to full-time live-in, and as a doula with many families with newborns, from single births to twins and triplets. I have also worked with families as a parent coach, helping them correct disciplinary mistakes they've made and set their family back on firm ground, much like Jo on Supernanny. I don't claim to be a supernanny, but it sure was a wonderful, rewarding experience! :o)

Along with my extensive experience, I will bring to your family a positive, uplifting attitude and a nurturing spirit. I LOVE children, and they love me. We seem to have a special connection; they are the lights that keep my life bright and the sparkle that keeps my heart young.

I relate with children on their level, treating them with kindness and respect, while establishing good, firm, and loving boundaries between us. I'm amazed at how much I have learned about children over the years, and even more amazed at how much I continue to learn! The growth I've experienced being with children throughout my life has been invaluable; I am incredibly blessed to be doing what I love most.

If I care for your little ones, they will receive top-notch care: they'll be loved, honored, respected, listened to and snuggled with. I will get to know what their needs are and how they communicate them. We'll have tons of fun together! I'll work together with you to provide all they need to grow into happy, healthy, responsible, and compassionate big people!
