My husband and I are "empty nesters". I miss the joy and fun of being around children. I was a nanny throughout college and currently sit for friend and family when needed. I am considered the "fun aunt" by my nieces and nephews.

I began babysitting when I was around ten, first as a "junior" babysitter for my sister and mother, and then alone as I got older. I am 21 years old and I grew up with 7 younger brothers and 4 younger sisters. I've grown up in a house full of kids so I am used to the excitement and messes of children. I have babysat for years when my parents were busy or at work. I also babysat a few other kids after I turned 15, one which was the sweetest little boy I've ever met. He did have autism and it was a little tricky to always make him happy but I tried the best I could and we always had a great time. I currently live on my own so I am capable of cooking, cleaning, doing laundry or running errands. I plan on having children of my own within the next few years so I would love to get as much experience as I can with other kids. Although I have a lot of siblings and that should be enough experience, not every kid is the same. I would love to be able to help parents as much as I can because I know when I become one I'm gonna need that help sometimes too.

Hii I’m Britt and I’ve been looking after children since I was 13. I used to cook for me and my cousins because we had no one at home to do it due to work, which also led to my passion for cooking so I’m very experienced with cooking and meal prepping for myself and the little ones. Fast forwarding a couple of years after Covid my mom worked at an after school care , not too far from our home and she ended up taking me on a couple months after she got on due to her health conditions stopping her from being able to perform most of her normal duties so I would go to work with her and I will help the kids with homework. I would even look up worksheets and activities for them to do and bring them to the school the next day. I would bring snacks for them on the weekends if they did go throughout the week and I would teach them basic skills that they should be learning at school as far as manners numbers, spelling , kindness with others and things in that area. Fast forward a couple of more years my godmother had an autistic baby boy so he comes around the family a lot and I’ve been introduced to that area of childcare more so I know how to communicate with him when he needs certain things, I know how to engage in patience and understanding with him when he’s not doing his best and I know how to tolerate certain behaviors and talk them through working through better coping mechanisms or resolutions in that moment. I spent most of my life helping people and taking care of other people so I do have a good bit of experience when it comes to taking care of children and taking care of houses so if I do get the opportunity to be a part of your family and taking care of them I thank you for the opportunity and you will not be let down.
