Hi, I’m Alyssa! I have been babysitting and nannying for 5 years. I am a sophomore in college at GCU. I love working with kids, especially babies and toddlers but I love working with all ages! In my free time I enjoy working out, baking, babysitting, swimming, playing basketball, and hanging out with my friends and family. I am studying pre-occupational therapy and want to focus on early intervention. This past summer I nannied for a family with a 7 month old and 3 year old, I worked with them 40-50 hours/week and travelled with them on work trips and vacations. I also nannied for another families 3-4 days/week in the evenings for 5-7 hours. In the summer I took the kids I watched out to do fun things like go to the park, to museums, the zoo. aquarium, on lunch dates/other fun things! The boy I watched loves arts and crafts so I had fun making fun superhero crafts like capes/masks/superhero playdough! I have watched all different ages of kids from 6 week old babies- 10 year olds. I definitely love the younger ages and have a lot of patience which I know is definitely needed with younger kids!

My journey as a babysitter at the age of 10, assisting families for whom my mother provided cleaning services. In 2017, a client of my mother requested that I care for her children throughout the summer, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays. Upon entering high school, I continued to look after her children, who were aged three and one at the time, during the 2018-2019 period. The following year, in 2019-2020, I also took care of her newborn, as her third child was born. I provided babysitting services for this family until September 2021, when her husband relocated for work in Spain. Currently, I babysit for another family on weekends and during vacations, caring for their children aged six and nine every other weekend, while also looking after their 10-month-old child weekly. I have been with this family for four years. Additionally, I hold certifications in CPR and First Aid, along with an IVP fingerprint clearance card.

Have spent a lot of time raising/watching my niece and nephews when they were little. Previous Preschool teacher. Have taught circle time and small group. Comfortable with any temperament of child. Also have tutored in certain subjects. Really comfortable in the kitchen. Have spent a summer teaching cooking classes with children. In these classes, the curriculum designed was challenging also achievable. Level headed in any situation. College educated. Wilderness first responder certified.

I am currently an occasional care for several families. I am hoping to find a family needing part time care or evening care. I have CPR and first aid training, DCS clearance, fingerprint card, and Full Background check. I am a very active, young at heart, loving and patient care giver with over 30 years experience as a daycare provider and as a nanny for children newborn to age 13.
