I have many years of experience babysitting various age groups and I have taught science summer programs to ages 5-18. I also have a daughter, graduated from college. I raised my daughter to be involved in extra curricular activities, e.g., photography, sports, tutoring and play dates. So, I understand the challenges of a work life balance. I will do my best to create a nurturing and engaging environment for your child. My Spanish and Portuguese speaking skills are a little rusty, but I may be able to assist with basic Spanish homework. My standard childcare rate is $20 per hour * This includes childcare, entertainment or homework supervision, following basic daily routines, standard meal prep and cleaning any “mess” we make as a result of babysitting. *Additional services can range for up to $40 per hour. Rates beyond $20 account for additional services and requests, e.g., household chores, tutoring, extensive services required for disabilities and pet care. ** I am respectful of allergy concerns, please be aware that I consume peanut products and I own a dog.** I have served as a “Course Life Assistant” to college students on ecosystem and field study trips in Central America. In this capacity, I was responsible for offering basic first aid and CPR, if needed. Although I have been CPR certified. I have driven kids to school and sports via Zum and Hopskip drive (driving kids apps).

The log includes food and milk intake, diaper activity, nap length, and any observations that need to be passed on. I also take children to parks and pools or other activities. I enjoy working with children and building their confidence using music and art. I like to include active learning exercises that keep the children engaged. Singing is a constant part of my day-to-day interaction with the children I care for. All geared to develop confidence and build their learning capabilities. My rate is based not only on the market rate but hours and needs. When you hire me you are getting a professional that also becomes part of the family. I am currently looking for a position that is no less than 20 hours and no more than 40 hours a week. If you would like to hire me but don't have a total of 32 hours I am open to a salary amount that pays at the 32-hour rate when under the needed hours. I request five days of paid sick leave, two weeks of paid vacation the first year. Guaranteed salary based on the minimum hours. I am 22 years old with almost 16 years of experience in care (child, adult, pets). I grew up in a household in which we value the meaning of, “It takes a village.” Therefore I was about 6 years old when I began taking care of my younger cousins, and this carried throughout highschool, and my roles eventually evolved.
