I have always love working with children. I started babysitting early on as a teenager. It wasn't until after becoming a mother I knew I wanted to become a teacher. My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and struggled in school. During grade school many of my daughters teachers lacked the information needed to help her manage her ADHD in the classroom. I graduated in 2022 with an AA in Early Childhood Education and an AA in American Sign Language. I want to make a difference as a teacher and be a positive role model to all children. Hello, my name is Alissia and I am 36 years old with 4 children of my own. My twins will soon be adults and off to college. My two younger children are in middle school and they are home schooled. My husband works at 3am so he is home by the time I need to start my day which allows me a very flexible schedule. I have been working with children for 12 years. My first job with children was at a daycare, Seymour Family Childcare. Then, at Desert Recreation District. I absolutely fell in love with this line of work.
