I am 19 years old. I love spending time with my family . During summers I stay with my grandparents and care for them. I administer my grandpas insulin daily and check his sugar since he is a diabetic. In addition, I would take care of family and friends children in the summer. The ages would range from 1-10. I provide food, diaper changes and teach them the alphabet, shapes, and read to them. I really enjoy being a sitter and knowing that families trust me. Here is a bit about my past work history: I worked for over 28 years for the Fullerton Elementary School District as a Bilingual-Biliterate Instructional Assistant. I began in a regular classroom setting assisting the teacher with various tasks and helping students in large and small groups. I've worked with English Language Learners from the preschool through 6th grade level. I have worked under the Child Development Services Department supervising and planning activities for both junior high and elementary school students attending after school programs. In 2007 I began working with preschoolers. I am familiar with the Reggio Emilia approach and believe greatly in allowing the child to guide the experience according to their interests so the learning experience will give its fruits.
