Hi, my name is Deborah I am a 20 years old from Nigeria. I moved to California 10 years ago, my favorite things are outdoor activities, reading, taking walks, and baking. I also love Jesus and I’am a devoted Christian. I’am majoring in biochemistry at Sacramento State. With over 4 years of experience in the childcare field, I feel that I have gained excellent experience with children of all ages. My younger brother is autistic, so I have lots of experience taking care of kids with special needs. I simply love children and enjoy helping them learn and grow at every stage of their young lives. My strengths as a sitter are that I am a very responsible, reliable, and caring person. I am passionate about furthering my time in the field so that I can continue doing what I love and broadening my experiences. I’am CPR, AED, and first aid certified as well as fire safety trained!

Hi my name is Dulce but I go by Abi, I have always been drawn to working with children, once I graduated high school I applied for a summer school position at a preschool not knowing it was caring after special needs children, although it was a surprise and a learning experience I fell in love with it which then led me to working as a Paraprofessional at a school District for the next 4 yrs. I moved over to Sacramento 9 yrs ago and worked as an ABA for children on the spectrum which was such a rewarding job as well. 8 years ago I was so fortunate to have found my family I currently nanny for, I have been with them for the past 8 yrs and care after their 3 boys( under 9). Throughout the years I have learned the importance of patience, communication, punctuality among others. I’ve been so fortunate to have such a rewarding job and truly would not change it for anything. I have Monday’s available, evenings as well as the occasional weekends, Im always looking twords making new besties :)

Abi was great with our kids for back up care when our usual child care couldn’t make it in time. She is experienced with multiple young kiddos and is very proactive about activities even taking our kids to the local park despite only helping us out for the morning.

I've been in childcare since I was twelve years old, eighteen entire years! I used to babysit for my mom and dad, as the oldest sibling in my family of seven children. Friends from our community knew I was good with the little kids and asked for me to come and watch theirs, and it all snowballed from there. I've worked in church daycares, at summer camps, for six families as a private child caretaker, in schools as a teacher's assistant and more. I am comfortable working with autism spectrum kids, too, since my a lot of my family are on the spectrum. That's actually how I met my first nanny kiddo; he was on the spectrum and we became friends at the shop I worked at when his mom and he would come in to eat. His mom came in one day and said he loved me and their nanny had to go, so could she pay me a dollar more than what I was getting paid now and full time? It was all very kismet. I worked for them full time for about a year after until I moved. I am super creative but also super responsible. I like the balance of art and productivity. I love making lists and checking them off: it gives me a sense of purpose and calm and tangible proof that I'm making moves in the right direction. I am alllll about finding creative ways to be kind and handle any kind of upset with empathy and compassion and compromise. Not even lots of crying stresses me out; I just view it as another avenue of processing in a big world that kids have, among many others, of getting their feelings out when they feel they can't properly express it with their language. I like to find things to do to change the mood when things like that come up, like a game or a trip, instead of letting them get too stuck in the upset. Or sometimes we sing the Breathing Song from Esme and Roy! My biggest strength as a nanny is my commuication skills with parents. I want to work alongside you as another team member and an advocate for your family! I'm there to make your guys' lives all a little easier. If there's anything to do that would make that happen, I more than want to hear about it and it means so much to me when it's expressed. I show my love and care for people through acts of service, so that's always been a great source of pride for me. I am CPR/First Aid certified, have my own car and am currently working for two families. I started working with their children since they were 6 months and 8 months and they're now both almost 2 and 3.

With over 30 years of hands-on experience nurturing children of all ages, I bring a lifelong passion and natural gift for childcare. Affectionately known as “The Baby Whisperer,” I have an intuitive ability to connect with infants and young children—creating joyful, engaging, and enriching environments wherever I go. Children are naturally drawn to me, and I truly speak their language—whether I’m soothing a newborn, connecting with a toddler, or helping a preschooler learn through play. I am currently work with children with special needs ranging in age from 3 to 26, as well as supporting 4th and 5th graders in school settings. These roles have strengthened my ability to provide individualized, compassionate care while fostering confidence and independence in each child. I’ve had the privilege of nannying for two wonderful families and raising my own children while being a stay-at-home mom for over 36 years. Caring for children doesn’t feel like work—it’s what brings me joy and purpose. I love to sing with children, do arts and crafts, and play both indoor and outdoor games. I weave learning into everyday activities—teaching letters, shapes, colors, and phonics in playful, creative ways. Time outside is one of my favorite things, whether we’re exploring nature, playing in the dirt (when allowed!), or enjoying movement and fresh air. I also have experience teaching swimming and helping children feel confident and safe in the water. I’ve completed 12 units in Early Childhood Development and am currently pursuing a degree in Child Development, giving me a strong foundation in how children grow, learn, and thrive. I’m also pursuing studies in Physical Education to support motor development and encourage active, healthy lifestyles. Highlights: 30+ years caring for children of all ages, including infants, toddlers, school-age kids, and teens Experience with children with special needs (ages 3–26) and elementary school students College coursework in Child Development CPR/First Aid certified Passionate about music, creative arts, outdoor play, and learning through fun Open to roles as a nanny, caregiver, or “bonus grandma” My Philosophy: Children thrive when they feel safe, loved, and encouraged. My goal is to create joyful, structured spaces where they feel free to explore, grow, and become the amazing individuals they’re meant to be.

Kelly has been with our family for the past 10 months, caring for our son since he was just 6 months old. We have three kids, are two working parents, occasionally travel for work, and have a schedule that seems to change constantly, so having someone we can genuinely count on has been incredibly important to us. Kelly has been that person. What stands out most to me is that she doesn’t just come in and “watch the baby.” She pays attention to him. As he’s grown and changed, she’s taken an interest in figuring out what he needs at each stage. She’ll bring over or suggest a new sensory toy or activity because she thinks he’s ready for it, work with him on whatever milestone he’s tackling, and look for things they can do outside the house. She takes him for walks or to the park almost every day and has even researched things like library music and story times that they could do together. She also notices the little things. If he suddenly isn’t eating as much, his naps start changing, or something just seems a little off, she brings it up. I’ve really appreciated that, especially since he’s gone through so many changes during his first year - teething, growth spurts, transitioning to a bottle, crawling to walking... the list goes on! Another big thing for our family has been Kelly’s flexibility. Our schedule isn’t always predictable, and over the past year we’ve had plenty of days where plans changed or we needed to adjust things. She has consistently been easy to communicate with and willing to work with us, which has made our lives so much easier. We are sadly moving on from having a nanny, simply because we now have three kiddos headed to three different schools/programs, and financially and logistically it makes more sense for our family. We’ve been extremely happy with Kelly and would keep her if our family circumstances weren’t changing. I would absolutely recommend Kelly to a family looking for someone dependable, thoughtful, and truly engaged with their child (or children! She is amazing with our other two kids as well and has occasionally watched all three together). More than anything, I trust Kelly with our son. He is SO happy to see her when she arrives, and it’s obvious that she cares about him too. She has been such an important part of his first year, and we are really going to miss having her here. For me, that says a lot more than anything else I could put in a review. <3
