My first paid babysitting job started when I was 11 years old, and I started caring for my 5 week old cousin in my aunt’s workplace with her. As the baby became more mobile, I began caring for her in the home while my aunt worked, and at 12, I was working as an after-school babysitter for her 5 and 7 year old brothers, as well. At 19 I started my first full-time nanny position, caring for 4 month old twins.
