I hosted dignitaries from other countries interested in our early intervention programs and materials, home visits with families and hosted numerous conferences and trainings. I also taught piano to 35-40 students per week for 10 years. I love encouraging excitement and enthusiasm pertaining to new interests in kiddos. Hello everyone😊 My name is Kate. I’m a mother of two daughters (21&19!) I began babysitting maaaany years ago in middle school, and continued to babysit on and off since then. In Highschool and my early 20s I held positions as: camp counselor, waterfront director and Nurse in several camps. I also was an EMT , an ESL teacher(English ans an second language) and a Spanish teacher at Syracuse University . I also taught as a pre-K assistant in a neighboring town. Lastly, I was a respite volunteer for The Center For Independent Living in NY(helping differently abled teens) In 2001 I moved to Colorado from New York to be a Nanny in Denver. In the years that followed I gained experience with elder care, more experience being a caregiver for differently abled teenagers, teacher of private Spanish classes, taking care of premies with oxygen, house cleaning, and babysitting. To describe myself as a caregiver I would say that I am easy going, patient, but I also make sure that “rules” are followed (especially if it impacts safety etc) I’m creative; I don’t just sit children in front of the tv and ignore them. I treat every kid as an individual and adjust accordingly to what is best for them. I am attentive and listen to them, their feelings etc. I can multi task, and this obviously got a lot stronger with raising two children of my own over the past 21 years.
