Most recently, I worked as a social media manager for the U.S. Olympic rowing team, but I'm excited to return to my roots in childcare to supplement my income. I have over five years experience working with kids of all kinds, including two years as a summer camp counselor and three as a babysitter and nanny for children ages 8 months to 10 years. My husband Bill and I have lived in the same home in Aurora since we got married April 17, 1993. I am a retired professional with LOTS of childcare/babysitting experience and LOVE to be around children. I am CPR/AED and First Aid certified, 27 yrs plus ski instructor for Special Olympics and Breckenridge Outdoor Educational Center (BOEC). I have mentored for Save Our Youth, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Whiz Kids and more. I have a current professional elementary teaching license from the state of Colorado. I have my MA in Elementary Education and a Principal's License. I am no longer teaching in schools, however, I entertain tutoring. I have raised my 3 girls, all of whom now have grandchildren which I enjoy very much. I have CPR training and am also a Medical Technologist (ASCP) and worked in medicine for many years. I also have a legal background. I have many years of experience as both a nanny and a babysitter for children ranging in age from a few weeks old to 15 years old. I have experience from having my own boys as well - one with special needs. I have watched kids full time and just a few days a week. I graduated with a Psychology degree in summer of 2019 and formerly employed as a Mental Health Counselor at an at-risk youth residential center. I have a dog of my own named Malo, who is my best friend. During my spare time, I do yoga, see live music, go on hikes, and play with my dog. I am an aunt of three amazing nephews and two beautiful nieces. Back home, I lived with my sister and her husband and took care of their two girls ( at the time were 9 months old and 2 and a half years old) Monday - Friday and some weekend nights.
