Prior to my current role, I held several assistant teacher positions In area preschools and have been responsible for infants as well as older children. My responsibilities included classroom teaching as well as play and meal activities. I also have first aid certification and lifeguard experience. I graduated from Villanova University in May 2018 with a degree in Nursing and Spanish Language & Literature. I previously worked in the hospital for 6 years full time night shift as a registered nurse, first on an orthopedic/surgical unit and second on a mother/baby unit. I recently began working dayshift full time in an endocrinologist office Monday through Friday. I cannot commit to any full time babysitting jobs, so I am currently looking for jobs on an as needed basis (weekends, date nights, night nurse). I started out as a mother's helper early in middle school and began babysitting in eighth grade (2009). I continued babysitting until roughly 2020 when most parents were working from home and I was working on a Covid unit in the hospital so it was best that I self isolate for others’ safety. This amounts to over 10 years of babysitting experience. I also have roughly 3.5 years experience working with newborns through my job in the nursery and on the post partum unit. I have babysat for multiple families over the years, and most families I kept up with for several years. I've worked with children ranging from 6 months to teenagers in high school. I have also undergone child abuse checks, background checks, and CPR certification through my job and can provide proof or undergo testing again if necessary.
