Hi, my name’s Ayana Amoja. I’m 23 and a current college junior. Throughout high school, I babysat elementary-age children. Furthermore, I worked at a private school working with kids ages 5-14 as well as a part-time nanny to 3 and 5-year-olds, ages 5-12 in a public school setting and with ages 2-5 at two different preschools. I have also been a nanny for an 18 month-year-old and a 1-year-old. I love working with kids. They have made such an impact on my life and I just hope I’ve done the same for them. My number one thing is safety and I will always prioritize the child’s needs.

I’m a graduate of Haddam-Killingworth High School class of 2022. I am currently attending CCSU. In school I was involved in clubs (president of the drama club), swim team, and have been a Girl Scout since elementary school. I am certified in first aid + CPR and Lifeguarding. I’ve worked as a camp counselor at HK Recreation and taught swim lessons for the past few years to elementary and middle school kids. I also lifeguard at the HK pool. In my free time I enjoy reading and creating art. I have my own transportation and CT driver’s license.

I had the pleasure of working with Ellie while traveling for work with my two boys (ages 2 and 4), who—like most little ones—can be a bit wild at times. From the very beginning, she gave me confidence by clearly communicating and committing to the timing well in advance, which was incredibly reassuring given the logistics of my trip. Throughout her time with the boys, she remained calm, patient, and attentive. It’s not always easy managing high energy and short attention spans, but she handled them with a steady, caring presence that made all the difference. I could tell she genuinely cared and took the role seriously, which allowed me to focus on my work knowing they were in good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to call on her again for future care. Highly recommended!

I am 63 looking fo part time work and since I have always loved being around children and my college degree is in child care too that is what I am looking to do. IMy career started out on the maternity ward at Guys Hospital in London helping mothers with their new borns and in the neonatal unit. After that I nannied in Europe for two little girls, who several years later I went back to in London for a short time. On returning to England I worked in another maternity hospital, then in a Nursery School. For a while I did some temporary nannying for a variety of families with children of various ages, tiny to teens. Then my green card came through and I came to the USA to nanny in DC for a Naval family. After a couple of years there I went on to another family in DC who were worked in the government administration. Since then I have been married had three sons of my own, which was my full time job!

Very loving nanny looking for a good family. I love working with children, I have more than 15 years of experience and great references to provide. I have built a trusting and warm relationship with the families I've worked for. I have cared for children with ages ranging from months old up to teen years. I have a big heart and very fun, I love playing with children but also discipline them as per parent's wish. I have my own car, I speak another language too (portuguese) and I am flexible with times.
