Mia worked with our family for a little over a month and was consistently helpful, reliable, and attentive to everything we asked of her. Our 8-month-old daughter had only ever been cared for by my husband and me, and was understandably hesitant with someone new. Mia showed incredible patience and persistence, gently building trust and adapting to our baby’s needs with care and sensitivity. We truly appreciated her calm presence and dedication, and would absolutely welcome her back should we need additional support for our baby and/or toddler in the future.

My name is Loryn, and I absolutely love working with children! This is my 3rd year working as a social worker at an elementary school where I primarily work with preschool through 1st grade! In 2021, I graduated with my Master's degree in social work, specializing in school social work. I completed my graduate internship working with children (K-2 and 6-8) in a school setting. During that time, I gained experience working with students in both special education (i.e. autism, ADHD, social emotional needs) as well as in general education, both in person and remotely. I previously was employed as a lead teacher at an educational daycare. There I worked in multiple classes with students ranging from two to five years in age. Overall, I enjoy working with kids of various ages and am so thankful I get to do what I love. Feel free to message me with any questions you have, and I look forward to becoming a babysitter for you and your child!

I believe in the power of nature as a tool for education and love to spend time exploring outdoors, getting messy, and encouraging growth through play. My 40 years of experience include potty training, establishing sleep routines, and encouraging healthy relationships with food. I would describe my personality as silly & energetic and my caregiving style as responsive & respectful. I am kind, patient, and extremely reliable. I am seeking a long term position with 30 or more guaranteed hours that will begin in the fall of 2023. I am a Rhode Island native who now resides across the RI/CT border, and I am open to traveling approx. 20 miles . I am covid vaccinated, with a clean driving record and no criminal background. Prior to nannying, I ran a licensed home daycare in the State of Rhode Island. I have a lifetime of experience to share with you.

I am writing to wholeheartedly recommend Leanne for any position involving child care or child development. For several years, Leanne served as the nanny to my two children, from infancy through their early childhood years. During this time, she exhibited unparalleled dedication, compassion, and skill in managing the unique and challenging needs of my family. Leanne began caring for my youngest child as an infant, expertly navigating the demanding requirements of early childhood care. She continued this exemplary care until he reached four years old and transitioned to full-time preschool. Simultaneously, she also cared for my older son, from the age of three until he was nearly seven. This dual responsibility showcased Leanne’s exceptional ability to balance the needs of children at different developmental stages. One of the most remarkable aspects of Leanne’s care was her ability to interact with and nurture my nonverbal autistic son. Her patience, understanding, and tailor-made approaches to his needs were nothing short of extraordinary. Her ability to communicate effectively with him, despite the challenges of his nonverbal condition, was a source of relief and comfort to our family. Leanne's professionalism extends beyond her direct interactions with the children. Her decision-making skills are impeccable, and I trusted her judgment implicitly when it came to the well-being of my children. Her calm and composed demeanor, even in the most challenging situations, made her an invaluable presence in our home. She is unflappable, a quality that is essential in the unpredictable world of child care. Moreover, Leanne's versatility and resourcefulness were evident in her ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to the varying needs of each child. Her commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment has had a lasting positive impact on my children’s development. In conclusion, Leanne is a remarkable individual whose expertise in child care is exceptional. Her dedication, skill, and compassionate approach make her an outstanding candidate for any position involving the care and development of children. I wholeheartedly recommend her without any reservations and am confident that she will be an asset to any family or organization fortunate enough to work with her

We have absolutely loved having Kai provide care for our 18-month-old daughter. For the first couple of weeks, our little one was really nervous and cried a bit, but Kai was patient, gentle, and understanding. She allowed our daughter to lead the way and to engage at her pace and her comfort level. It didn’t take long for our daughter to warm up and look forward to Kai’s arrival each morning. I really appreciated Kai’s focus on learning as she was always teaching our daughter new things (ex: letters, sounds, basic sign language), keeping her engaged, and spending lots of time exploring outdoors. Kai has super positive energy, is very attentive, and clearly cares deeply about the kids she looks after. The only reason we’re not continuing with Kai is that my role was recently eliminated and so I’ll be at home with our daughter, otherwise, we’d absolutely keep working with her! We highly recommend Kai to any family looking for someone reliable, caring, and trustworthy to provide care for their child/children. Kerisha

Hi! My name is Greta, and I just finished my first year at Connecticut College, where I study Human Development and plan to pursue pediatric occupational therapy. I currently work at the Connecticut College Child Development Lab School with children ages 2–3, where I support teachers in creating a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment. I spend a lot of time engaging with the children one-on-one and in groups through outdoor play, reading, and puzzles. A large part of my role is helping to guide the children with appropriate classroom behavior and ensuring that the children are cooperating with one another and treating each other with kindness and respect. My role also involves helping children move through their daily routines and transitions. Outside of work, I have extensive experience babysitting my three younger cousins, ages 3, 7, and 13, which has given me the opportunity to work with a range of ages and personalities in a more informal setting. Since my 18th birthday, I have also been working in a group home supporting adults with special needs. There, I assist them with their daily routines, encourage their independence and engagement in activities, and help them to achieve their goals. My style working with children is very patient and gentle. I attended Montessori school from kindergarten through 6th grade, and that experience still shapes the way I approach childcare today. My goal in working with the child is to nurture their innate curiosity by encouraging them to explore the world around them and pursue whatever captivates them. I love working with children and find it very meaningful to be a part of their learning and growth. I also find great joy in childlike wonder and play, and helping the kids have fun is an important focus of my job as a babysitter!
