I am a 33 year old Early Childhood Major, who graduated from Georg Mason University with both my bachelors and masters in Education, and have a license to teach Pre-Kindergarten through Third Grade. I have received my Career Studies Certificate and my Infant and Toddler Certificate as well back in my days at NVCC. Back during my summers in high school I volunteered at the Thurgood Marshall Child Development Center in DC. I did over 500 hours there working in the toddler room, and occaisionally the Pre-K room. For a brief period during my college studies I also worked at the Cody Child Development Center on Fort Myer in the infant, toddler, and pre-k rooms. I have also consistently had my training in CPR/First Aid. I have babysat in many home settings now and would love to work with a new family! I live near Fair Oaks and would prefer to work for a family in the area if possible but if not that’s ok too! I do have a car so driving is not an issue.

We had Ayling come watch our two boys (1 and 7). She brought over an activity bag and was fun and engaging. Her communication with us was excellent the whole time and we had a wonderful evening out without having to worry. Would highly recommend!

Why do you love being a sitter? I truly love being a sitter because I enjoy creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and feel supported. Being part of their daily development, helping them build confidence, and creating meaningful connections with families is incredibly rewarding to me. I love bringing patience, creativity, structure, and warmth into every child’s routine. What experience do you have? I have experience caring for infants, toddlers, and school-age children through nanny positions, babysitting, and childcare programs. I currently work with families in the Arlington and Washington DC area, helping with daily routines, feeding schedules, naps, educational activities, bedtime routines, and emotional development. I also support families with light housekeeping, meal preparation, organization, and creating structured routines for children. What skills and training do you have? I am currently completing my CDA (Child Development Associate) certification and have training in child development, safety, healthy routines, and age-appropriate activities. I am experienced with infant care, sleep routines, potty training support, Montessori-inspired activities, positive guidance, and developmental play. I am also part of the temporary division of White House Nannies, which has strengthened my professional childcare experience and family support skills.

Our wonderful Wendy worked with our family as a part time nanny, but in truth she became so much more than that. She was a vital part of our daily lives. She was truly exceptional in every way, going above and beyond in everything she did. Her main responsibility was picking up our children from school and getting them to their activities, and we always had COMPLETE peace of mind knowing they were with her. She is an incredibly responsible and attentive driver, but more importantly, she always made our children’s safety and comfort her top priority. Beyond being remarkably reliable and organized, what makes Wendy truly special is the warmth and light she brings into a home. She had a natural gift for connecting with our children, balancing a fun with the structure and consistency they needed and was always interested in keeping us on the loop with new ways on how to improve our routines. We are deeply grateful for the care and heart she put into her time with us. We would love to have her back at any point in the future, in fact, she is the very first person we would call if our family grows or if our needs change. We recommend our dear Wendy with all our heart, any family would be INCREDIBLY lucky to have her ❤️

Greeting Families, I am passionate about children. I am caring, energetic, diligent, and a dedicated person. I graduated with an degree in Early Childhood Development. I have come to the realization that every child is created in their own unique way. I have experience of caring for children over night, and overnight infant nursing care. The ranges of children that I have cared for is from newborn to high school. I come from a large family, so I know what it means to multitask and get the job done! I also have reliable transportation, and do not mind being around pets. Over the years, I have taught in a private school (kindergarten, first grade, second grade). I hope to provide you and your family care soon!

Shanice was a wonderful, calm presence with my 3-month old baby, both for daytime babysitting sessions and in getting him off to bed. She was very professional and organized: arriving early, communicating clearly and often, providing us with a log of everything he did when she left (tummy time, nap time, ounces fed, etc.). She's given me great peace of mind and my little guy is looking forward to seeing her next time!

Clifford did a wonderful job with my infant son. My mom, who is a retired nurse, was around to observe and said he did the best job out of multiple sitters we have had. Punctual, responsive, sweet and completely reliable.

I am a mother of two teenage boys, so have been parenting for about 15 years. Prior to becoming a mother, I was a nanny for many years while in college and graduate school and a babysitter while in middle and high school. I have CPR and 1St Aid Certifications and am highly experienced with dealing with any issues that may arise while caring for infants, young children, tweens and teens. I love supporting kids to play and learn from experiences (games, crafts, sports) but am also ready to support homework and school assignments. I am comfortable with all kinds of pets and happy to feed them or take them for walks. I take family rules seriously and will work with the children to make sure that tasks and chores are completed when required.

My kids loved Jennifer and ask for her to come back often! She not only was wonderful with the children, playing games througout the day, taking them on field trips and reading them stories. She also organized the kids bedroom without being asked! If I could give 10 stars I would!

As a teenager and babysitter I knew I wanted to work with children but as a pediatric doctor, But once I took Child development classes and parenting it really opened my eyes to another interest and that was being a early childhood education teacher. taking these classes I learned a lot about a parent perspective and childcare teachers as well in certain situations also along with being a teacher studying the different methods and also hands on experience on writing lesson plans and actually interacting with the children. By my senior year I did an internship at a child care facility to experience how a center is ran and the interaction with the children and teachers. After I graduated I worked for Kindercare Learning Center over a year, Children Of America almost 3 years, and a privately owned daycare for over a year before I recently decided to help local families who need care for their children.

Hi families!! My name is Katelyn and I’m 20 years old. I’m currently looking for a family in need of a part-time or full-time nanny/babysitter! I’m located in College Park, MD (UMD area) and I’m willing to drive as needed. I’m enrolled in an online Vet Tech program through Penn Foster College (self-paced), so my schedule is very flexible and I’m able to start as soon as needed. I’m also happy to help out last-minute when things come up! I’m CPR certified and have 7 years of childcare experience, with ages ranging from newborns to early teens. I’m very hands-on and love keeping kids engaged with activities, routines, and homework help. I’m also happy to help with light cleaning/tidying, and as a big animal lover, I’m always comfortable around pets. 😊 Feel free to message me anytime — I’d love to chat and see if we’d be a good fit! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
