As one of four children in my household growing up (and the cousin of 50+ children in our extended family,) childcare was less of a job and more of a lifestyle. I learned to change diapers at 7, was making dinner at 11 and could engineer a blanket-fort with all 3 of my siblings racing around me. I was a Girl Scout in my elementary years, a Special Olympics Basketball coach during middle school, and a karate kids instructor throughout high school. I have always found joy in taking care of others, and was so lucky to find that enjoyment in my role as a nanny for a family in St. Louis. Now that I am living in DC, I am interested in working with a family who prioritizes learning, activity and fun, just like my siblings and I always did with our babysitters. I have 22 years of experience Read more caring for a child and now adult with special needs (my sister, Emma, a person with Autism). I am comfortable with pets and all ages of kiddos. I'm looking forward to meeting your family!
