I am a retired project manager looking for part time work and started searching nanny/sitter jobs after several friends and family suggested I look into this, mentioning how well my children were raised.

I am a married empty nester with 3 grown daughters and six granddaughters.  I live in Lewes, Delaware and am a certified substitute teacher with completed criminal background check. My latest experience has been with infants and toddlers. I have sat for a family for over seven years. When I began they had one daughter a year old. A year later their precious little boy was born. He is now nine years old and I have been caring for him since he was less than a month old 4 times a week.  Since he is in school now, I am looking to become a "member" of another family for years to come. I currently sit for two little boys who are four and two once a week and have done so for nearly two years I absolutely love children of all ages and am capable of bathing , changing diapers, bottle feeding, swaddling  reading, taking on walks, doing children's laundry, library,movies or whatever else  their age dictates. I can play indoor and outdoor games, read if they are old enough. No matter what age they are, I enjoy being outside, playing or walking with  their strollers or wagons. I will abide and enforce any rules you have regarding snacks, television, etc. All of these families will be happy to provide references on my behalf.

After receiving my RN in 1991 I worked in various aspects of nursing. Since I retired I have been sitting with a girl for the past 3 years, she is now age 9. I picked her up from school and we would do homework, chores and crafts together. I work for this family on an as needed basis at present.
