Hi. I have been babysitting for over 20 years. I began sitting when I was 13 and have been doing so ever since, when available. My friends always call me first when they need child care. I incorporate lots of reading, crafts, music, outdoor walks, trips to the library, parks, the aquarium, and play dates with other children and nannies when possible. I also use baby sign language until children can speak and express themselves and limit screen time for children depending on their ages. I am First Aid/AED/CPR certified for infants through adults. Hello there! My name is Tyler, and I am excited to serve you and your family! I am a senior year at University of South Florida studying Health Sciences and I am a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist. I have experience working with children in multiple areas. For the past year and a half I've had the honor to support a family with their little boy from 3 months to almost 2 yrs old. I've used my swim instructor background to teach water safety and the foundation of learning to swim with confidence. We also learned over 30 sign language signs together to support his active participation in communication as well as introduced familiarity toward Spanish conversation. In collaboration with their family, I was able to provide a consistency in values and expectations throughout every stage to best support the family they wanted to build. Before nannying for this family, I was a lifeguard for 3 years, where I also taught swim lessons to children ages newborn to 15+ years old. I have practice enforcing discipline in a respectful way and keeping children engaged while learning. Additionally, I have babysat for families with kids between infant and 10 years old. I love being outside with children and encouraging their curiosities. I love providing a safe space for children to explore and test their curiosities without intrusive inturuptions. Getting active and playful is also so much fun because I find this is when those big belly laughs come out! About me personally, my biggest dream is to build a large and lively family with my fiancé someday with our parents there to enjoy. My favorite part of being a nanny has always been becoming that big friend who comes over to play. My goal is to fit naturally into your family's life. I genuinely love being around little kids, getting into their world, using our imaginations, making up games, doing crafts and letting them be silly and completely themselves. I was a full-time nanny for two families from 3 months into the toddler years. Both families had multiple little ones, so I'm very comfortable caring for an infant and toddler at the same time. I'm incredibly patient, silly, high energy, and very hands-on. I love crafts, baking, trips to the park or library, little outings and finding ways to actually play together. I'm also very comfortable in screen-free homes and would much rather be on the floor playing anyway.
