My hobbies include drawing, video games, and enjoying the outdoors. I've worked as an extended day instructor at Merrill Road Elementary in the afternoons and as a summer camp employee. I then later worked at The Bolles School doing Extended Day for a few years. Currently, I work at Crayons to Credits Educational Consulting working with neurodivergent children and I work at Bolles School as a summer camp counselor/Activity Leader during the summer. I have a strong connection with kids, having volunteered for two years and worked for about three years at my old elementary school, and for two years at The Bolles School, and most recently my new job. My dedication to the children was evident when I was offered a job at my old school after volunteering, as the kids loved having me around. I supervised children aged 4-10, helped with homework, and engaged in various activities. At Bolles, I teach archery to kids aged 5-14 and have been a lead counselor for the youngest group (ages 3-5). I assisted them with daily tasks like filling water bottles, opening food items, tying shoes, and helped the boy campers change clothes for swimming. I also taught fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaking during river days. I mostly worked with Pre-K to 5th grade and find being a good role model to kids incredibly rewarding. Most recently, I've taught kids with ASD, ADHD, Down Syndrome, etc. in a variety of subjects while also supporting diapering and potty training at my newest job. Additionally, I've cared for my friend's autistic 9-year-old brother, my 6-year-old cousin, my neighbor's 4-year-old son, a 4 year old boy on here, a 5 year old boy, a 9 year old boy, and two young brothers on the spectrum occasionally (ages 2 and 4), and more. I also love pets! One of my favorite memories is gently waking a one year old boy from nap, him seeing me, and he stood up in his crib and reached for me to pick him up. It’s those quiet, meaningful moments that remind me why I love this work. (Available to care for children aged 16 months to 12 years). My experience includes diapering and potty training for boys in both home and school settings, including those with special needs.
