Certifications or trainings I've completed are as follows: Infant and adult CPR, first aid, and the American College of Surgeons STOP THE BLEED® program (basic trauma care in order to stop or slow bleeding during emergencies). I've also completed a ten week program (offered through Big Lots Behavioral Health Services at Nationwide Children's Hospital) designed to prevent/treat behavioral and emotional problems in children and teenagers (specific focus on developing positive relationships, attitudes and conduct). I have extensive personal experience caring and advocating for a child dealing with ADHD, anxiety, and learning disabilities, as well as managing the subsequent challenges associated with navigating the educational system. For parents or caregivers who are dealing with this combination of challenges I would be happy to pass on all I've learned as this can be an extremely stressful situation for the entire family. My past work experience includes a position as a Toddler Teacher in a daycare, as well as working as a nanny and a babysitter (children ages newborn up to age 7). After graduating college I managed school-based mentoring programs (working with middle and high school students), followed by being a stay-at-home mom. I've considered returning to the nonprofit sector but I've realized that it's taking care of the little guys that's brought me the most joy. So here I am. Thank you again for your consideration. I have three nephews and a niece, and I genuinely love being around kids- the playing, crafts, adventures, silly conversations and everything that comes with them, even the tough times.
