My name is Marisa and I recently moved to Warner Robins in 2022 with my boyfriend who is in the Air Forced. I previously lived in Phoenix for the past 11 years, after graduating from DePaul University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have worked with kids of all ages and abilities since I was 13. I am CPR / First Aid certified and have previously taught special education preschool and Kindergarten. I currently teach 3rd Grade so I only have summer, night, and weekend availability at this time. I prefer to engage the children I sit for in activities that involve being outside when possible or doing other hands on/engaging activities. The television/computer/video games are something I try to stay away from at all costs unless it is specified by the parent that the children are allowed to engage in these activities. I do not mind doing light housekeeping if it is requested, but preferably while the kids are napping or down for the night if they're younger as I like keep my full attention on the kids. I also love animals so dogs, cats, bunnies, anything with fur or scales is fine by me. I typically charge $15 for one child, $20 for 2, and $25 for 3+, but am willing to negotiate if it is an overnight or if children are asleep for a majority of the time. I’m also happy to drive children to/ from activities but will require a gas stipend as gas prices being what they are currently.

I have recently graduated college. I have CPR and first aid training. I love to read, paint, sing, and cook. I am very focused and determined, especially when it comes to education. I also like to have fun and I am very creative, which is why I get along so well with children. I respect the parents and their way of parenting. In addition, I like to encourage growth in children's abilities by slowly giving them small amounts of independence in decision making and talking them through their choices. I have had some experience babysitting over the years especially since I am the oldest of four siblings. I have experience babysitting them overnight and during the day. One of my siblings is asthmatic, so I know how to be quick on my feet when it comes to emergency situations like those. I also have the experience of babysitting a two-year-old child that was being potty trained and I have the experience of babysitting 8 children at once with the help of one other person. My most recent professional childcare experience is as an after-school teacher at a Montessori school where I supervise and inspire growth in around 15 children that are 2 to 6 years old. I thoroughly enjoy babysitting and try my best to provide a superb service to the children and parents. I am fully available for weekends and I am available after 2:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
