I have younger siblings and cousins who I helped take care of since I was around eight years old. I have also taken care of my Tia who has Down’s syndrome for a few years as well. All through middle and high school I took baby sitting jobs and it helped me realize working with kids is my passion. Hi, my name is Daniela, and I’m from Colombia. I am an Au Pair (nanny) participating in a cultural exchange program, living with an amazing American family and taking care of two wonderful kids. The program lasts two years, and I’m now close to finishing my second year with them. I love kids, and this experience has been truly incredible. My daily responsibilities include getting them ready for school, preparing their lunches, driving them to and from school, and taking care of them until their parents get home around 5 or 6 PM. When they don’t have school, I stay with them all day playing, doing outdoors, crafts and also preparing their meals. I really enjoy spending time with kids and learning from them. This journey has been a beautiful opportunity for growth, cultural exchange, and creating unforgettable memories.
