I am an Aunt of 20+ and God/Additional Mom to 1! I love working with kids and will become a Pediatric Nurse in the near future. Some has called me “the baby whisperer”, I have a loving, caring, and safe experience with children; as I did babysitting in the summer. I am a student at the University of Illinois, and have 7 years of official childcare experience. As the second oldest of four, even before I was able to take paid jobs, taking care of people (particularly childcare) has always been a key part of who I am. I have extensive experience, ranging from infants to a highschool student with Down Syndrome, including a summer spent as a nearly full-time nanny to a family with three children. I'm extremely comfortable working with food, gardens, and all things creative. As a multi-instrumentalist and a dancer, I offer a multitude of fun activities and ideas for entertainment and learning. I was home-educated throughout much of my life, and spent many hours learning about education and child development. I have worked with exceptional children including gifted, ADD, ADHD, Downs syndrome, autism, failure to thrive and cerebral palsy. I'm open to household that has pets and have the ability to function as a household manager as well. I have my AAS in ECE and am certified in AED, C.P.R, and first aid.
