In the past year and a half I have watched a 2.5 year old boy, an infant girl from age 3 to 6 months, a baby boy from 7 to 10 months, and an 8 year old girl. When I am watching children I do not use my cell phone (other than in case of emergency or if I need to schedule an appointment) as I want to give the kids my undivided attention. I've been a nanny/babysitter since I was 18. I'm now 35 years old and I have a 6 (almost 7) year old son. I've always enjoyed interacting with kids and caring for them.
