I'm a freshman at WIU, I'm studying to become a speech pathologist and work with children. This past summer I was a camp counselor and worked with kids from age 5 to 13. I really enjoyed working there and have learned many games that can be played without electronics. I have watched many training videos prior to my summer camp job and learned first aid. Caring for children has been a meaningful part of my life for years! In high school I worked in a gym daycare (2016-2020) as well as took a childcare course and worked in the schools daycare (2018-2019), we would “work” in the daycare 4 days a week rotating from the infant room, toddlers, and preschool.
