I am a full-time nanny living in Chicago and I also provide babysitting services on occasion.  I have been helping with childcare for my family since I was 12 years old, as the eldest of five children, three of whom are active boys. I have always enjoyed watching over children and creating a fun, safe environment for my charges.  I have experience with infants, toddlers and preschool children, particularly preschool as I was an assistant Sunday school teacher for my church for six years.  I also did one summer as a camp counselor for a sleep-away camp, which put me in charge of 4-8 kids 22/7.  Some of my favorite activities are reading, drama and games. I am high energy and fit, working 50-60 hours a week caring for children. On the weekends, when I’m not working, you’ll find me running around the dog show ring, or practicing agility. My current 7 month old Kasha, is working on her AKC obedience titles. She has some big paws to fill! I have a Law Enforcement/Animal Control Officer, a Medical/ Medical Computer Systems background and have also worked in the Corporate world. All of those jobs I really enjoyed. But I’m completely happy and comfortable in a private/domestic setting taking care of children and managing a household. I excel at ensuring that the household is running smoothly, and I like putting my excellent organizational skills to work. It is a very gratifying experience for me.
