I am currently a college student studying healthcare management, and after I finish undergrad I plan on going back to school to get my accelerated nursing degree. Although I don't have paid experiences, I love working with children and have numerous familial babysitting experiences. In fact, if finances didn't play a role I would instead be pursuing a degree in early childhood development because my lifelong dream is to own my own daycare. I am a reliable person, and consider myself pretty outgoing and vibrant. As your babysitter, I would provide exceptional care for your child(ren), in addition to helping you out in other ways such as cleaning and doing laundry if you requested. I do not have an active CPR certification, but have been certified in the past 5 years. I am willing to pay and reobtain certification if you requested. I love babysitting for various reasons! My first sitting job was with my baby cousin and it helped me find something I love to do. Every child is different and it shows you how amazing it is to get to know them. I have baby sat my cousin, sister, and extended family! These were covid years which is why it is all family related but I have been around countless of church members children having to watch them. I am a recent graduate of the Master's in Public Affairs program at IU. I am looking to work more hours than my current job offers. Since I missed working with kids while completing my Master's, I thought this would be a good opportunity to start babysitting again. I began babysitting at the age of 13, and worked as a sitter through college. I was a nanny for four summers and I've been a long term babysitter for eight families. I have babysat all ages, including infants to teenagers. I have been certified in first-aid and lifeguarding. I take the responsibilities of working with kids very seriously, but I love to engage kids in active, educational, and creative games. As a camp counselor I learned to work with all types of children. I genuinely appreciate the unique qualities of each kid, and learning what helps them to be their best. I personally enjoy gardening, cooking, and doing ceramics in my free time, so as a babysitter I typically bring supplies to play outside, do arts and crafts, and bake. I have babysat children with behavioral problems, which has enhanced my patience even more. I understand the separation anxiety many kids can have when parents are away. My hope as a babysitter is to make the time I spend with them enjoyable, and feel more like a playdate than having a babysitter.
