I am a medical student interested in pediatrics and am taking the year away for a public health Master’s program here in the area. I have always loved interacting with kiddos of all ages - my parents are elementary school teachers and I spent many teenage years volunteering in their classrooms and serving as babysitter for their colleagues. Helping kids learn and play grew to be very special to me. In college I had a couple of part-time nannying gigs and also worked as my sibling’s full-time childcare during the summers (at ages 6 months to 3 years). Throughout medical school I have spent ample time with babies, children, and adolescents as I learned how to provide care to them. I have a kid-friendly vehicle and love to spend time with pets. As a future pediatrician, I am knowledgeable and passionate about child safety. I am committed to fostering a fun, educational environment with safety at the forefront of my mind. I’m 29 years old and I have 15 years experience babysitting and working with children. I’m was a lead teacher at a daycare center until I had my baby girl who is now almost two in December.
