I have spent 12 years working as a babysitter, both on occasional jobs and full times nannying jobs. I have taken care of children as young as 2 months old, and as old as middle school age. I believe working with kids is one of the greatest things you can do, and it brings me immense joy. I recently moved with my husband and pets to Topeka, but in Kansas City I was a part of Big Brothers Bigs Sister of Kansas City as well as a chairman on the board of directors for a non-profit Mental Health organization. I am First Aid, CPR, and AED certified as well! I am outdoorsy, a fan of anything and everything relating to sports, and I try to read everyday. I am majoring in Exercise Science at Oklahoma Baptist University, and will be continuing my education to earn my Doctorate as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. I recently graduated high school, and I’ve spent the last four years building experience working with kids—a passion that continues to grow. I currently lead Sunday school at my church, where I love creating a fun, welcoming space for children to learn and connect. I’ve also volunteered at a kids’ day camp, helping with activities and supporting campers throughout the week. In addition, I’ve been on two mission trips focused on working with children with special needs, which deepened my commitment to inclusive, compassionate care. It is lovely to meet you! My name is Kyra Beard and I am currently a 22 year old college student working on becoming an Art Therapist. I have babysat my neighbor’s kids and my own sibling (7 year difference) for many years now. My parent is a teacher so I am used to planning out fun activities! Currently I live and work for a private family full time during the weekdays but weekends are open for any date nights! I’ve been with them for two years now. I'm a caring energetic sitter with a huge passion for caring for kids. While new to the professional childcare environment, I have a little experience at a childcare center, caring for infants up to 3 years old. I also have experience babysitting cousins and siblings.
