I am a retired elementary teacher with 30+ years experience taking care of children. I taught Kindergarten and first grade for 17 years and spent the last 10 years of my teaching career as a Reading Specialist. I worked as a Nanny in Louisville, KY before I became a teacher and have worked as a Nanny since I retired from teaching in Owensboro, KY. I am a mother of 3 adult children and a grandmother of 4 children. I love children and enjoy watching them grow and learn. When my children were growing up the most important thing to me was knowing that they were loved and well cared for while I was at work. At this stage of my life it is time for me to give back to others and provide childcare where parents will know that their children are loved and well cared for while they are at work.

I have had 4+ years experience working in childcare from infants to 5 year olds. My most recent job was in head start, but I had to step away from teaching to take care of my health. I enjoy one-on-one time with children and creating with them! I also have experience with children with autism in a 1:1 setting as a registered behavior technician. I am CPR/AED/first aid certified, as it was required for my job. I am a fast learner, organized, and very creative.

I am a IU student who absolutely loves working with kids! Every job I have had has been around kids and I would not change it for the world.
