I’m a 27 year old college graduate with a bachelors in psychology. My full time job is being a service coordinator for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I come from a really big family which has gravitated me towards the love for children, caring for them and making them feel safe and seen. As a teenager my mom enrolled me in red cross courses to be able to help with family child care. I also work in a residential group home with adolescents. Both mt jobs require me to have CPR , First aid and BLS certification trainings. I have alot of experience working with children from infancy through teenage years. I enjoy doing activities with them and helping them stay active and having someone they can relate to when parents are unable to do so. I’ve been paid as a babysitter for the last five years since the pandemic. I babysit when I can and have flexibility specifically on the weekends. I am energetic, attentive, caring, compassionate and enjoy making all children around me feel included. I have experience changing diapers, making bottles, caring for high energy toddlers and more. I enjoy working with children due to their fun personalities and try to engage with them in all activities whether it may be reading, playing a game, doing school work or just enjoy a nature walk. Hello my experience is very lengthy I have worked with children of all ages I grew up babysitting my Nextdoor neighbors kids and working with my uncles two young children ages 3 and 6 that are both autistic I also worked for a young couple with two children for about 4 months I took them to playdates made lunch helped them clean up and did fun activities with them I also worked for a year and a half with autism learning partners as a behavioral technician and working with kids seeing there happy faces is just so rewarding I am very good at making lunch’s coming up with fun activities and going outside to play

 I have been working with children since the age of ten, be it through babysitting family and then branching out, through teaching dance classes, working at numerous summer camps and then becoming a certified infant, toddler, preschool lead teacher. I am certified through EEC. I also spent a summer volunteering at Camp Sunshine. This is a camp for families with a child who is terminally ill. This camp is a place where the families can go and be among others who are facing the same everyday issues. They go to camp and have the opportunity to enjoy their time without having to worry about anything else. I enjoy working with children of all ages especially 1 month - 15 years of age. Some of the activities I enjoy doing with the children under my care are arts & crafts, going for walks around the neighborhood, playing at the park, going on field trips to the farm, zoo or other such places and reading stories. My philosophy is to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of your children while in my care through active learning and regulatory activities. I always follow all rules of the parents. I like to do all sorts of activities with kids, building Legos, puzzles, arts and crafts, playing fun board games and love to read to kids. I also love being out and about exploring outside. Hello! My name is Shannon, I'm 28 and currently live in Auburn, MA. I have been watching children since I was 13 years old; either through after school jobs or weekend care. I spent 5 summers working at a summer camp with children ages 5 -13 years old. Most of my experience in caring for children is with children ages 3 months - 15 years old. I have 2 years of babysitting experience. I have babysat for children ranging from 2-11. I have watched up to 3 kids at one time but I am willing to watch more. I have worked with a child who needed a scheduled medication/shot which I would be willing to do again. I am CPR and First Aid Certified.
