Hello! I am a warm and nurturing childcare provider based in Charlestown, MA. I have extensive experience caring for children of all ages, particularly infant and preschool-aged (0-5). I'm currently training to become a Maternal Support Practitioner and will be specializing in Postpartum support (completing certification Fall 2024). My care is full-spectrum and can include postpartum support (for both mom + baby) as well as hands-on support with meal preparation, laundry, errands, and light housekeeping duties. In addition to my current certification, I have been providing childcare since 2013 and have received training in early childcare development and the Montessori teaching style. I am also CPR and First Aid certified.

I have been working with children since I was 12 years old! My work has ranged from working as a nanny for a 7 month old, leading a kids summer playwriting group, providing swim instruction to infants up to age 12, and providing residential and social support to young adults with learning differences and autism spectrum disorders. I truly enjoy empowering children, helping them find their strengths and encouraging creativity, self-sufficiency, and curiosity by engaging them and including them in everyday activities such as cooking, cleanup, putting away belongings, dance and music, making art and crafts, spending time outdoors. I love working with children and seeing their unique perspectives and watching them discover the world around them, I find this immensely satisfying. 

I am a newly retired teacher of 20 years. I have always had a great love and enthusiasm for children. I began a home daycare a little over 30 years ago. I was very happy caring for little ones, aged infants to elementary, for over 6 years. I returned to the workforce and became a paraprofessional for 20 years, teaching grades preschool through 8th grade over the years. Now that I am newly retired I would love to return to where I started, caring in a home setting. I am patient and responsible. I have been CPR and first aid certified many times over the years. I am not currently certified but am willing to recertify. I have worked extensively with special needs students and am comfortable with all abilities.
