Hi, My name is Tami.  I've been able to have the opportunity to have had a variety of experiences which has allowed for a wide range of skill sets.  Along with a wide range of skill sets, my age has allowed for maturity and patience. I have had the opportunity of teaching in a preschool/toddler classroom for about 20 years (in total), also spending time in the infant room and my favorite the toddler classrooms! Those classrooms were integrated with special need programs as well. Classroom experiences encourage variety, quick thinking and spontaneity. I've also had other job experiences that required more administrative skill sets.  I stepped down from a residential supervisor position of a group home, in December 2012. This position was very demanding which homed in on skills of being capable to multitask and the ability to handle almost any type of emergency. If you are needing a "house manager" along with childcare, I am confident we can work that out as well. I think you will find my skills, my personality and my enjoyment of being around children as an asset. I do currently have my certification for Early Education. Easy to work with. I’m a 39 year old private childcare provider with over 20 years experience. I’ve worked with children of all ages from infant to teenager. I enjoy all activities- indoor and outdoor play time, dolls, legos, board games, make believe, story time, bath and bed time, digging for worms, sports, walks to the park, reading, homework help, making healthy snacks and preparing healthy and delicious meals for the entire family.  I have been working with children since the age of ten, be it through babysitting family and then branching out, through teaching dance classes, working at numerous summer camps and then becoming a certified infant, toddler, preschool lead teacher. I am certified through EEC. I also spent a summer volunteering at Camp Sunshine. This is a camp for families with a child who is terminally ill. This camp is a place where the families can go and be among others who are facing the same everyday issues. They go to camp and have the opportunity to enjoy their time without having to worry about anything else. I enjoy working with children of all ages especially 1 month - 15 years of age. Some of the activities I enjoy doing with the children under my care are arts & crafts, going for walks around the neighborhood, playing at the park, going on field trips to the farm, zoo or other such places and reading stories.
