Hi everybody! My name is Dory (like the fish)! I am a current grad school student pursuing a career in the National Park Service, and I am looking for some part time sitting on the side. I currently live in Cornish, NH. I have always loved working with kids- I went to babysitting “school” at the library when I was 13 and my first job was at an afterschool program. I have since worked in public schools with ages pre-k through 8th. I worked as a full time substitute, as well at summer school programs and after school. I was frequently placed in special education classrooms, as it was a strong suit for me. I had up to 60 kids in classes at a time, so I am comfortable watching multiple kids at a time. I am trained as an emergency medical responder, with cpr and bloodborne pathogens trainings as well. I have worked with babysitting infants ages 6 months and up as well. I truly love to work with kids of all ages. I am also happy to do light tidying, laundry, or meal prep for the kiddos. I prioritize making sure that the kids have a great day, so I tailor my babysitting to the individual child. I’m a recent college graduate from the College of the Holy Cross looking to babysit while I study for the LSATs to go to law school! Not only was I a built in babysitter for my little sister (who is 8 years younger than me), but I also started babysitting in middle school with my neighbor - so I have 10 years of experience babysitting for other families and 14 years of experience babysitting my little sister. I have been a professional Early Childhood Educator for about 3 years. I have wprked primarily with children from 6m to 3y but have a bit of experience with children up to 8 years old. I stepped back from working full time at schools to spend more time with my two little ones, ages 3 and 5. I have worked one on one with children and in larger group settings with anywhere from 5-10 children. Many of my old students families have also utilized me for private babysitting on weekends/holidays. Unprofessionally, I have cared for children for over 10 years- family, neighborhood kids, etc.
