I am laid back, patient, encourage creativity and exploration, love to read and teach.From 2003 - 2009 I worked for several agencies that assist individuals with developmental disabilities. I love working with children, I have also worked at an elementary school in the guidance department, as well as nannied/babysat for several families for more than 10 years. I taught Sunday School at Saint Philip Neri parish from 1999-2009, ranging from 1st - 6th grades.  I have several years experience in a daycare setting.  My educational background is in psychology and human services. I have nannied for infants as young as 3 months, and the oldest child is now 15 years, who I care for occasionally on weekends. I have been working with children since middle school all the way up to college. I recently graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Social work and i love what I do! I am prior Navy and have spent many hours babysitting or volunteering in nurseries, daycare, and individual homes. I have a bachelor's in social work and sociology. I am going to graduate school for child welfare in the fall 2025. I love kids and the challenges that come with them. I have watched up to five children at a time but prefer a smaller group so I can give each child the attention that they need. As a mom of 2, soon to be 3, I know what it means to nurture a child. I believe in training my children up in the way they should go. I love doing arts and crafts with the kids. We sing gospel songs and age appropriate songs together. I am not a huge fan of YouTube, but I love being more hands on “pencil to paper”. I create workbooks to cater to each child. I also provide Spanish teaching, Sight word flash cards, and Biblical teaching (parents choice). I’m a huge fan of hooked on phonics, so this course can be provided as well. Thank you.
