I have been a nanny for 5 years now, for 1-3 children at a time ranging from 5 years old to 14. I have a car, do not smoke, and have experience with animals as I also have worked as a veterinary technician. I was a Care Coordinator for Newport Healthcare a mental health institution for adolescents, where I also got my CPR, First Aid from Red Cross and CPI training.

As a teenager and babysitter I knew I wanted to work with children but as a pediatric doctor, But once I took Child development classes and parenting it really opened my eyes to another interest and that was being a early childhood education teacher. taking these classes I learned a lot about a parent perspective and childcare teachers as well in certain situations also along with being a teacher studying the different methods and also hands on experience on writing lesson plans and actually interacting with the children. By my senior year I did an internship at a child care facility to experience how a center is ran and the interaction with the children and teachers. After I graduated I worked for Kindercare Learning Center over a year, Children Of America almost 3 years, and a privately owned daycare for over a year before I recently decided to help local families who need care for their children.

I switched careers from Administration to Childcare starting at the end of 2013. I have experience working with live-in and live-out families (infant-teen). I finally realize I'm doing what I love and will open a home daycare in the future.

I have been a nanny since I was 15 years old. I have watched all ages of children from infants to preteens. I have worked with children with special needs as well.
