I am very physically fit, ride three times a week, hike, and swim weekly. I have traveled the world to all over Europe, Scandinavia, the Caribbean, but now is not the time to travel, so I would love to be able to enjoy my new free time making a difference in a child’s life. Every College & University in Maryland requires FBI fingerprinting and checks, as does TSA pre-check. I have all of those clearances and am not paying to duplicate that here. I just, obviously, have not done it professionally during the time I have been a full-time professor. I am someone who will energetically interact with your child (not be distracted {as my students are by their phones} continuously). I would only allow "screen time" if you do so as part of your parenting. I personally think it is one of the biggest issues inhibiting the healthy curiosity and intellectual development of children. I am a mother to a wonderful almost 6 year old. I have always been the one to help out in the nursery at church and help with friends and family that needed help. I love providing enrichment activities and watching how children learn and the light bulb goes off.
