I’ll be turning 32 this year, and I’m a former early childhood educator with a teaching career that began in 2014, specializing in preschool education through 2021. During those years, I developed a deep love for nurturing young children’s growth; academically, socially, and emotionally. In addition to teaching, I’ve volunteered with organizations supporting refugee children in need as well as children affected by abuse, experiences that strengthened my compassion, patience, and trauma-informed approach to caregiving. I stepped away from the classroom to focus on becoming a mother, a role that deeply shaped both my personal life and professional path. Through motherhood, I felt called to support families in a more holistic way and became a certified full-spectrum doula, helping families prepare emotionally, physically, and mentally for the birth of their child. From 2022–2024, I also worked closely with children and adults with special needs, including autism, while running my own doula business—further strengthening my ability to provide individualized, empathetic, and patient care. While I’m not ready to return to a traditional classroom setting, I’m excited to share my passion for early learning again—just as I do while homeschooling my preschool-aged son. Our finished basement is thoughtfully set up as a play-based school environment, designed to encourage learning through exploration, creativity, structure, and routine. I’m currently seeking a flexible family who is comfortable with my two children (ages 4 and 1) being with me, and who is also understanding that I am expecting my third child. I am a full time nanny, but when you love what you do, doing it all the time makes it easy to do! I love helping, spending time with and teaching children of all ages. Hello, my name is Jennifer. I was a stay-at-home mom to my two daughters, now 20 and 21 years old and in college. While I was home with my children, I also provided childcare to various families in my community. I have been a volunteer and board member of the PTA for all the years that my daughters were in school, an approved school /classroom volunteer, and served as a Girl Scout leader (where I held certifications in First Aid and CPR). As toddlers and preschoolers, my daughters were involved in many enriching and fun activity programs such as Kindermusik, Little Gym tumbling/gymnastics, and local library programs - to name a few. We also enjoyed regular neighborhood walks, visits to the park for outdoor play, and field trips to the zoo or other age-appropriate locations. During their school years, both of my girls became very active with sports and extracurricular activities.
