Hi, I attended Raritan Valley Community College in New Jersey for  two years, studying Early Childhood Education. During this time I worked at a day care center and did an internship at a special needs school. I then went on to receive my B. S. in Fashion Merchandising Management at F. I. T. in New York City. While attending  F. I. T college I studied abroad in Italy for six months. During high school and these college years, I was a nanny for the same family every summer. I helped raise their two children for 10 years. Currently I am a stay at home Mom of 4 wonderful boys ages 8,7,6 and 4. I have my own three beautiful girls. The youngest is in the middle school. The second which is the middle daughter is in the swimming team in high school. Hello! My name is Lydia:) My availability is all day Sunday, MWF, and Saturday, and until 11 am on T/TR. I am currently a graduate student at Towson University studying School Psychology. Over the years I have worked in various childcare positions. My most recent job was working for an after school program with kindergarten-fifth graders. I have experience working with all age groups, from infancy until late childhood. I also have my CPR certification and have taken first aid classes through the American Red Cross. I enjoy playing games, doing crafts, spending time outside, and more! I am very patient and understand the specific needs of children of all age groups.

After colllege, I nannied for 2 different families. For the first family, I’d provide after school care 3x/week from 4p - 9p. I’d pick up the 2 boys after school (5 year old & 10 year old), take them home then help with homework / reading, cook dinner, bathe the 5 year old, and put both to bed. For the second family, I’d watch their 4 kids (ages 6 mo. old, 3 yr. old, 5 yr. old, & 7 yr. old) 1 - 2x/week during the school year from 9a - 5p & occasional weekends too. On a weekday, I’d provide relief to the mother for the day while she was out of the home. Daily activities included taking the 3 yr. old to preschool, managing nap schedules / night time routines, taking kids to/from bus stop, going to the playground, etc. I am comfortable with pets, but allergic to cats. However, I have babysat for families in the past than have had a cat with the understanding that I’d keep my distance from the pet / cat dander. I’m flexible and happy to answer any questions at any time!
