Hi! I'm Abby, a caring, responsible, and patient sitter currently based in Frederick, Maryland. I'm 23 years old and recently completed my B.A. in Psychology at the University of Maryland–Baltimore County with a minor in dance. I have a strong background in childcare, including hands-on experience through a paid internship as a behavior technician with Advancing Beyond the Spectrum, where I worked closely with nonverbal children with autism using ABA therapy techniques. I recently completed interning at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children headquarters located in Alexandria to help support their mission of keeping children safe. I plan to pursue a Masters in Social Work in 2027 and seek a long term nannying/family assistant position. Working with kids brings me so much joy, it allows me to connect with my inner child, and I truly value the trust families place in me. I'm always ready to meet new challenges with a positive attitude and an open mind. In addition to childcare, I'm also happy to help with pets, I'm an animal lover too! Whether you're looking for someone dependable for occasional sitting or more regular support, I’d love to be part of your family's care team.

Hello, everyone! My name is Lisa, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce myself as a sitter. I am not just your average sitter - I am a division 1 softball player and a student majoring in Applied Mathematics. One of the things that sets me apart is my love for being active. I believe in the power of physical activity and outdoor play for children's development, so you can count on me to engage your little ones in fun and stimulating activities. Whether it's playing catch, going for a bike ride, or simply running around in the park, I'll make sure your kids have a great time while staying active. Another passion of mine is sewing and embroidery. I find joy in creating unique and personalized items, so if your children are interested in learning some basic sewing skills or need help with a craft project, I'm here to lend a hand. Of course, I can't forget to mention my love for dogs. They bring so much joy and companionship, and I truly enjoy spending time with them. If you have a furry friend at home, rest assured that they will receive plenty of attention and love from me. What I love most about being a sitter is the opportunity to create meaningful bonds with children. I believe in fostering a safe and nurturing environment where kids can thrive and express themselves freely. Building trust and establishing a connection with each child is of utmost importance to me. Lastly, I want to assure you that I take safety seriously. I am CPR + First Aid certified, and I have received the COVID-19 vaccine and booster shots. Your children's well-being is my top priority, and I will do everything I can to ensure their safety and happiness while in my care. I am excited to meet your family and create wonderful memories together. Thank you for considering me as your sitter!

We had an outstanding experience with Lisa! We hired her through Sittercity to drive our teenager from school to the airport, and she was absolutely fantastic—reliable, professional, and incredibly communicative. Even though we never met her in person before the job, we reviewed her social media profile instead of conducting a formal interview, and she came across as a very trustworthy and grounded young lady. That impression turned out to be completely accurate. Lisa followed every detail of our text communication and task list without missing a beat. She even texted us when she left her house to pick him up, which was very reassuring. Throughout the drive, she kept us updated every step of the way—with ETA updates, notices about gas stops and quick personal pit stops, and check-ins when they were back on the road. Her proactive communication gave us complete peace of mind. She was punctual, respectful, and made our teen feel comfortable and safe. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely hire her again. Highly recommended!

Hello! My name is Rajaa, but many people call me Mimi. I am a reliable, caring, patient, and outgoing person who genuinely enjoys working with children of all ages. I have experience caring for children and understand the importance of providing a safe, loving, and positive environment. I enjoy playing games, helping with homework, preparing simple meals and snacks, and planning age-appropriate activities that keep children engaged. I am also comfortable assisting with bedtime routines, light cleaning related to the children, and following each family’s preferred schedule and household rules. I am CPR and First Aid certified, responsible, flexible, and attentive to each child’s individual needs. I am fluent in English and Arabic, and I also speak some Spanish and French. My goal is to help children feel safe, comfortable, and happy while giving parents peace of mind. I would love the opportunity to meet your family and support your child’s growth and development!

I don't think words can even begin to describe how phenomenal Adrian is as a caregiver. We hired Adrian in July 2021 as a full-time nanny for our 6 month old son and she was with us for two years until my family moved out of state. My husband and I are both physicians and have very early morning work hours (sometimes as early as 515am) and long days (12-14 hours). Adrian always said "just tell me when you need me and I'll be there" and it was the truth. She was so flexible and accomodating to our busy lives and we could rely on 110%. Even if there were last minute changes to our schedules she would always make it work for us. Even with her high reliability and work ethic, that paled in comparison to how much she truly cared about our son and how well she treated him. As first time parent she was so helpful in getting him on a consistent schedule for us (he used to almost never nap in his crib before her), she was very educational too teaching him colors, numbers, and so many words! I trusted Adrian completely with his safety and she would always touch base if she was ever concerned about anything. Our son is very active and always wanting to explore and be on the go, but Adrian kept right up and introduced him to so many new things and places like the zoo, different parks, museums, splash pads, she even took him to swim lessons! I never once worried about his safety and honestly Adrian became just like part of our family. She was so easy to work with and talk to and really cared about our family's values, making sure to incorporate that into her care and routine with our son. My son absolutely adored Adrian. He would light up when she would walk into our house and when it was time to leave he would stand at the front window saying goodbye and blowing kisses until she drove away. If we could have taken her with us when we moved I would have in a heartbeat. Any family would be lucky to have her in their lives and we will truly miss her in ours.

Hello Families of SitterCity! I have decided to open my availability to start scheduling “date night”, weekend & occasional sitting! I am a full time nanny, but when you love what you do, doing it all the time makes it easy to do! I love helping, spending time with and teaching children of all ages. I have an extensive background in healthcare as a Certified Medical Assistant and FDA Study Research Coordinator (4 ½ years in Pediatrics, 7 weeks years in Women’s Health/OBGYN and 1 year in Cardiology). I was in Nursing School, but had to stop when my mom became ill. I hope to soon obtain my Newborn Care Specialist certificate, and I am also perusing my Doula birth/labor and postpartum certification. My passion for helping people goes way beyond an “office” setting. I truly enjoy spending time with an entire family and helping out in all aspects. I’ve been with my current nanny family for 18 months, since their little one was 3 months old. The family I was with prior I was with for 2 year (since their little one was 2 months). I’ve also been a medical caregiver for 2 years for a little one who was born at 24 weeks. I worked directly with his care team including Infants & Toddlers, PT/OT/SLP, developmental pediatrician and primary pediatrician and GI. I have always loved children and families, and both of my older sisters turned to me for help after their had their kids (I have 4 nephews). Many parents/grandparents have called me the “baby whisperer”. My currently availability is: weekends, weekday evenings (“Date night”), and occasional Fridays after 1pm. I have extensive experience caring for children, both well and sick, special needs, and I am also able to do overnight stays! I'd love to care for your children, too! I started babysitting when I was a young teen for families in the neighborhood, and younger members in my own family. I'm professional, trustworthy, patient, experienced and organized, and know how to be fun and silly with little ones (and don’t mind digging in the dirt, playing with sidewalk chalk, or mixing up a fresh batch of playdoh).

Kristen is awesome. She babysat my toddler probably 4-5 times. She even brought stuff with her (crafts, etc.) She's really reliable. My only complaint is that she's not available much lately!

I’m a passionate and experienced childcare provider with over 10 years of hands-on experience working with children of all ages, from infants to school-aged kids. I’ve spent a large part of my career with the YMCA in before- and after-school programs, where I supported children’s development through structured activities, homework help, and positive behavior guidance. I also have daycare experience working closely with infants and toddlers, focusing on routines, early learning, and creating a safe, nurturing environment. In addition to my center-based experience, I’ve worked as a nanny for multiple families, where I provided personalized care, helped manage daily schedules, and transported children to and from activities. I’ve also stepped into leadership roles, including serving as a substitute director, which strengthened my ability to manage responsibilities, communicate effectively with families, and lead with confidence. I’m CPR/First Aid trained and vaccinated. I bring a warm, energetic, and attentive approach to every family I work with. I truly enjoy building strong connections with children and supporting their growth in a fun, safe, and engaging way.

Shakera was wonderfully engaging with our toddler — patient, attentive, and clearly passionate about early childhood. Our little one made real progress with new words during her stay, which we credit entirely to the rich, stimulating interaction Shakera provided throughout each day.

We were very lucky to have found Dani! She took care of our son since he was 5 months old. She is very caring, loving and always gave her full attention to my son. She even bonded with my elder daughter who loves playing with her. I would highly recommend Dani! She is very reliable and trustworthy!

Hi, I'm Lauren! I am a caretaker, an artist and a hobby gardener. As one of six children I am no stranger to the joy-filled chaos of young children, or the necessity of multitasking and prep work to keep a happy household running smoothly. In addition to the immediate tasks of childcare like playtime, planning activities, and helping with schoolwork, I am also comfortable preparing meals and snacks, cleaning and tidying the house, and running whatever errands are most helpful. I have been the go-to neighborhood babysitter since I was a teenager and have had the pleasure of taking care of kids from 6 week old infants to twelve year old preteens! I am Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certified and have volunteer experience working with kids with childhood illness including those dealing with chronic illness, cancer, heart conditions, stoma bags, and other GI issues. I would consider one of my greatest strengths my sincere belief that playing is good for your brain and for your heart, and as long as we can work together there's nothing we can't do. If you have any interest in seeing if I'd be a good fit for your family, please don't hesitate to reach out!
