Hi im Mackenzie im a 19 year old stay at home mom to a 2 year old and have 3 younger siblings I’ve been babysitting since I was 14. My mom always tells me that kids love me because every time we’re at an event all the kids migrate towards me. I’m more available for date night and occasional babysitting.

I’m a college student studying child development psychology ! I’m going to Husson University. I love working with kids and little ones. It’s always to joyous to be able to help the best I can in making the little ones as comfortable in growing and feeling safe while their parents are making sure their kids lives are better than ever ! I am 19 years old and I don’t drive. But I do have transportation. I’m gonna be getting my permit done point but college funds and everything else definitely pushes my money back. I never will charge a lot! $15 is truly all I’ll ever ask!

I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and getting to know their individual personalities. I love being someone they can feel comfortable and safe around, while also making sure they have fun and feel cared for. Some of my favorite parts of babysitting are playing games, doing activities together, helping with homework, and being part of their everyday routines. I’ve always loved being around kids, which is one of the reasons I plan to pursue a career in pediatric occupational therapy. I hope to eventually work with children in a healthcare setting, so I really value every opportunity I have to learn from and connect with kids. Babysitting has been especially rewarding for me because I get to build relationships with children and help them feel supported, confident, and comfortable. I also have two younger cousins who I have helped care for as a mother's helper. Through that experience, I learned how to care for children from 0-2 years old, where I developed a lot of my foundational skills. I have also had the opportunity to babysit for a family with three children, which I absolutely loved. Caring for multiple children at once helped me become more organized, patient, and confident while making sure each child received individual attention. I really enjoyed getting to know the kids and becoming someone they were comfortable spending time with. I would describe myself as responsible, patient, caring, dependable, and attentive. I’m comfortable caring for multiple children and understand the importance of paying attention to each child's individual needs and personality. My experience with my younger sisters, cousins, and the family I babysat for has helped me develop strong skills. I’m comfortable following parents’ routines and instructions and understand how important it is to communicate with parents about their children. I also have a strong interest in child development because of my goal of working in pediatric OT. I’m genuinely interested in helping children learn, grow, become more independent, and feel confident in themselves. Most importantly, I want the children I care for to feel safe, heard, and cared for while their parents are away. It is extremely important for me to make their environment as enjoyable, comfortable and fun as I can.
