Hi! Since graduating from Brandeis University in 2022. I've been a pre-k teacher in Honolulu, HI. My first babysitting gig was watching my younger sister for my mom growing up. I babysat for others throughout high school and worked as a nanny while in college. I love babysitting kids and pets because they're the best kind of company anyone can ask for. Kids are innocent, pure and can make you laugh with the things they do and the imagination they have. I currently work as a line Cook and a behavioral health professional. I work hard in the heat and stress of a kitchen while keeping a calm head. I also work with children and teenagers with neurodevelopmental disorders as a BHP, getting to know them and assisting them to achieve their life skills, and help manage behavior. I have many skills that I can bring to babysitting your kiddo! I like to get to learn about them first by observing or hearing about them from you parents or them, themselves! It gives me a chance to best understand how they tick, what they're limitations are and where I may notice some push back with chores, homework or such. I became an early childhood educator because I want to leave the world better than I found it. More often than not, children are my best teachers because of how vulnerable, emotional and honest they are. I started working as a nanny in 2013 while I was taking classes at Middlesex Community College, and knew then that I wanted to work with primarily with young children. While earning my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Care at Bridgewater State University I discovered and became passionate about mindfulness. Mindfulness is “focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations”. My goal is to use mindfulness to help raise more compassionate and empathetic people.
